Brian Small, of Port Reading, is seeking re-election to the Woodbridge Board of Education. He is running on a team with John Golden and Jonathan Triebwasser. Voters can select up to three candidates for the board on April 20.

The following is information the candidate provided to the Woodbridge Parent Teacher Organization Presidents' Council. You can read this Woodbridge InJersey article to see how Small responded to questions asked at a recent forum.

Years in Woodbridge:
44 years

Occupation: Police officer with Woodbridge Township Police Department for 27 years.

Children: Amanda, 20; Brian Jr., 19; Kyle, 14; and Brielle, 11. They've attended Port Reading School No. 9, Avenel Middle School, and Woodbridge High School. Amanda attends Kean University and Brian Jr. attends St. John's University.

Community: Port Reading First Aid Squad for 30 years, serves as president; Woodbridge Little League president; Woodbridge PBA No. 38; Street Hockey League coach; St. Cecelia's CYO basketball coordinator; Don Bosco Knights of Columbus.

Education: Woodbridge High School.
