WOODBRIDGE, NJ -- A surveillance camera at a Route 1 office building was recording Friday afternoon when a thief stole a Teaneck man's car from the parking lot, police said. Another car of the same model and year was reported stolen that day.

The victim, 30, told police he parked and locked his 2002 Acura RSX around 8:45 a.m. When he returned about six hours later, the vehicle was missing.

Police reviewed surveillance footage that showed that the theft took place about 1:10 p.m., according to a police report.

It was one of two car thefts reported in the township that day. At 6:30 p.m., a woman working at Woodbridge Center called police after finding that her car was missing from the parking lot.

The 24-year-old victim told police she had parked her vehicle, also a 2002 Acura RSX, around 9:45 a.m. that day.

The vehicle is worth about $10,000, according to the police report.
