Voter turnout in Woodbridge doubled for 2010 school election

The number of Woodbridge voters who turned out Tuesday for the annual school election was nearly double the amount who voted last year, Township Clerk John Mitch noted.
About 21 percent of the township's 54,000 registered voters cast a ballot Tuesday, up from 12 percent last year.

Let’s all hope that the Town council listens to our message.
I think the secret of our defeating the school budget was the turnout. As I’ve said previously, we needed to get the people out, not just the same old three to for thousand we usually get.
Finally, the people woke up and understood what was going on and weren’t going to be duped anymore.
We can thank Washington for people’s awareness of the goings on of their elected officials.
Now is the time for everyone to get serious and work something out that will benefit the children, and at the same time, not put the citizens out of their homes.
We all worked hard for our belongings and deserve to keep them!
