Woodbridge school board brings back freshman sports, fires busing supervisor

WOODBRIDGE, NJ -- A divided Board of Education voted Thursday to use $2.3 million to bring back freshman sports and courtesy busing for K-5 students.
The late action means courtesy busing will not be available until sometime in October. Bus passes will be mailed in September. Busing, however, will be available in September for routes [...]

So now some high school freshmen sports return, the bus supervisor is on paid leave until October, and a slew of questonable positions ae now miraculously funded. Hmmm.
They still have not addressed how the 5th through 8th graders will get to school, so the question again – why have all these extra activities and employees when the students cannot get to school???
And, lastly, why cannot this be done until October? Entire wars have been fought and won in a few days or weeks time. Does this mean the administration is incompetent and cannot shuffle a few papers to return things to the way they should have been before this fiasco???
The entire school board and administration are an umitigated disaster. But, it is not their fault they don’t know how to manage and direct – it is all Governor Christie’s fault; and why not President Bush’s fault to while we are at it?
Really, this entire scharade is disgusting. They should all resign as they have failed the public and dishonored the system.

“district administrators could not be reached for comment”. — That’s no surprise. I wonder if the township ever inquired why he resigned from his previous job before they hired him.
I feel it’s a disgrace that the taxpayers are paying out a salary to a man who was terminated. Definition: transitive verb – fire somebody: to discontinue somebody’s or a group’s employment.
I feel that if the taxpayers are paying this man’s salary until October, then the taxpayers have a right to know why he was terminated. Something just doesn’t sound right.

I should add: The reason it’s going to take until mid-October is that the district is seeking bids from private companies.

MaryAnn is lost in outerspace.. the supervisor resigned then was terminated? You’re correct MaryAnn, something doesn’t sound right, you don’t!

I was in attendance when the Board voted on the termination. According to the Board Attorney, the reason for the suspension and then termination of Mr. Treadaway was to be in compliance with his employment contract. The Board originally voted to terminate Mr. Treadaway immediately, but then rescinded that vote and voted again for the suspension and termination based on the Board Attorney’s explanation.

Maryann isn’t in outer space. Edmund Treadaway was asked to resign from his last job at the Jackson board of Ed. He is now being terminated from this job due to the same reasons..i am not allowed to say what those reasons are…but let’s just say…it’s not good…it’s REALLY not good…

To Chris Smith,
If you read what I wrote you would understand. He resigned from his previous position before being hired in Woodbridge.
The article clearly states that the was TERMINATED!
So yes, he did resign (previous employment) then he was terminated (Woodbridge).
There is much more to the story as to why he was terminated!
To Tina,
Thank you. I feel you will agree that he was asked to resign from the previous job and terminated from Woodbridge. I will put money on it that it was due to an unmentionable reason. It’s amazing how much is covered up. I’m hoping that it all comes and people are held accountable for their actions (and inactions).
Nuf said!
